"We Live for Him"

2 Corinthians 5:15

Our theme is “A God-centered, Servant-led, Spirit-filled, Multi-cultural Church impacting our City and the World” (Matthew 6:33; Mark 10:42-45; Ephesians 5:18; I Timothy 2:1-15; Matthew 5:13-16).

OUR CHURCH HISTORY

On March 15, 1975, Reverend James C. E. Faulkner was called to be the shepherd of the church. He utilized his gifts for teaching, organization, and administration and implemented many growth ideas, including the principles of tithing. Pastor Faulkner retired in June 2012 after 37 years of FAITHFUL service to the Lord as Pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, leaving to carry on the work of the church in the capable hands of the St. Paul church leaders and pulpit staff of Reverend Percy Davis, Reverend Rodney Johnson, Minister Derrial Peterson, Reverend James Wooten, and the late Reverend Caldwell Crawford.

As the different ministries continued to do as we were taught by Dr. Faulkner, such as to set goals, work toward them, and reach out to others, God continued to bless St. Paul as we remained faithful to Him and held on doing the work of the Lord.

The Pastoral Search Committee worked very diligently to fulfill its duties through God’s guidance. St. Paul decided to carryover the same 2013 church theme into 2014, “Established Christians Standing Firm, Moving Forward in Unity, Love, and Faith”, based on Philippians 1:27, and because we believed in it and lived up to it, after nearly 2 ½ years without a Shepherd, God blessed us with Pastor Craig L. Brown in October 2014! It is under his leadership that our motto and theme have been adopted.
